Can you double-check that you've followed all of the support site steps correctly. Play some music on the device that has the local files to see if it shows via Connect on the other device. Make sure the router supports the Bonjour protocol. If the router is made after , it will likely have this protocol. Go to Solution. If for some reason the metadata such as track length differs this can cause conflict and break the track. In this instance you are best off removing the local file from your playlist on the desktop and adding the track from the Spotify server then re-sync. This should fix this issue.
View solution in original post. This solution doesn't completely solve the issue. Add the files to a new playlist. Log in on your mobile or tablet using the same WiFi as your desktop.
Note : You need to allow Spotify to find devices in the prompt that shows. Download the playlist with your local files. Make sure: You're logged in to the same account on both your desktop and mobile Your devices are connected to the same WiFi network The app is up-to-date on both devices Your device is up-to-date Also, at first the Local Files playlist will show as empty in the iOS app.
